Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe that content available through top 8 infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, you may send a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent.

To help us identify and evaluate the material, your notice should include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by one notice, you may provide a representative list.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, together with information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it. Please include relevant usernames, descriptions, screenshots, dates, URLs, or other identifying details when available.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A copyright complaint is a legal notice. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation that content is infringing may result in liability under applicable law.
What happens after we receive a notice
We may remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice and may notify the person who posted it. We may also request additional information when a notice is incomplete or when we cannot reasonably locate the material.
Counter-notifications
If your content was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to the Copyright Agent listed above.
A counter-notification should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, together with a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located. If your address is outside the United States, state that you consent to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which top 8 LLC may be found.
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.
We may provide the counter-notification to the person who submitted the original notice. When required by applicable law, we may restore the material after receiving a valid counter-notification unless the original complaining party notifies us that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances, top 8 may suspend or terminate accounts belonging to users who repeatedly infringe copyrights or other intellectual-property rights. We may also restrict access to the service or take other action when appropriate.
